Who We Are

PKTIF Foundation is a value-driven, non-government organisation. It embodies the principle of corporate philanthropy, with 51% shareholding of Renata Ltd, one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical and animal health product companies in Bangladesh.

The organisation, founded in 1993, aims to empower communities, catalyse entrepreneurship, build equity and establish enterprises for good with an overarching vision of ensuring health, happiness, and dignity for all.

PKTIF’s operations in Bangladesh have touched over 6 million individuals through its multi-sectoral development programmes which focus on poverty alleviation, community healthcare and climate change. It runs one of the largest financial service operations in Bangladesh and has specialised healthcare enterprises.

PKTIF Humayun Kabir

PATRON, PKTIF FOUNDATION

Ms. PKTIF Humayun Kabir has been actively working for persons with disabilities throughout her professional career. She served as the Vice President as well as the Secretary General for the Society for the Welfare of the Intellectually Disabled (SWID), Bangladesh and has been the President of its SWID Ramna Branch since 1999. She is also a member of the Trust for the Welfare of the Intellectually Disabled (TWID) and a life member of the National Association for Sports of Persons with Disabilities (NASPD).

Previously, Ms Kabir was a member of the executive committee for Bangladesh Olympic Association and Ahsania Mission. She was a lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and worked as a psychologist and social worker at Nari Punarbason Kendro.
